Introducing MANTRA Governance NFTs

Hello Sherpas! As we continue to explore new ways for the Sherpa community to engage with MANTRA’s Governance, we thought, what better way than to give our community some OMazing NFTs?

In our discussions to explore additional governance possibilities and as briefly touched upon in our Expanding MANTRA’s Governance & Upcoming Grants on Discord article, we believe that improving our governance through additional tools, alongside Snapshot & Discord, will allow for better visibility, help foster communication, and provide better organization.

Our new Governance NFTs will reward those who actively engage with voting, as well as distinguish our Governance contributors!

The first of the new Governance NFT series will begin with our latest proposal #16189449. To be eligible, vote before Dec 29, 2022 (11 AM UTC) at https://snapshot.org/#/mantra-dao.eth

Our current strategies support voting with sOM, OMUNI & zenOM.

NFT Design

“i VOTED” text on clear hologram effect & diamond rotation with fragmentation background & voting box.

The inspiration stems from our existing Governance icon in our current web application. We added extra effects and motions to make it more visually engaging rather than just a still icon.

Each NFT will display the “MANTRA Governance” series logo on the top left-hand side and show the corresponding Snapshot Proposal Number on the top right-hand side.

Participation Terms

No matter how small or large your OM stake is, if you vote on one of our active snapshot proposals, you will be gifted a MANTRA “i VOTED” Governance NFT.

Each NFT is minted with the unique Snapshot proposal number corresponding to the proposal you voted for.

You will receive the MANTRA “i VOTED” Governance NFT no matter what option you decide to vote on in a proposal.

NFTs will be distributed after the voting period ends on the Polygon network and sent to all participating addresses that voted.

Utility

As we will be looking to set up Discord as MANTRA’s hub for all things Governance, we will be looking to implement additional utility for users with MANTRA Governance NFTs in the future.

In addition, as we further streamline our governance processes, we will also be looking for other ways to give Governance NFT holders priority in future governance related activities on the server.
